Dear Friends,
Once again we have to celebrate Christmas under the shadows of yet another war.
Sarah, Hagar and Mary are weeping over their children and they
“refuse to be comforted…because they are no more”(Jeremiah 31:15).
It seems entire world is covered by the thick darkness: indifference, heartlessness, lies, hatred, polarisation and greed seem to be rampant and overwhelming.
It is my prayer that the light of Christmas will reassure us that nothing can snatch our hope in God and goodness.
Love will celebrate victory over hatred,
Wisdom will celebrate victory over foolishness,
Rationality will celebrate victory over irrationality,
Light will celebrate victory over darkness,
Peace will celebrate victory over wars and injustice.
Merry Christmas to you: fear not, never give up the struggle for peace and goodness.
Malkhaz Songulashvili
