Maintenance Technician
Synopsis
We are looking for a motivated maintenance person to do basic preventative maintenance, PM, task and minor repairs. Duties of the maintenance person include equipment PM, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, light carpentry and painting. The ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of MEP, mechanical, electrical and plumbing, systems and basic repairs. If you have previous experience in HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, a successful maintenance person will help keep Pullen well maintained and MEP systems up and running. Ideal job for recently retired maintenance person looking for something to do.
Qualifications
Proficient with eSpace software or other automated facility maintenance system preferred
1-3 years’ experience in maintenance or related fields
Ability to be a self-starter and work alone
Mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of alarm and building automation systems
Ability to work at heights of up to 80 feet
Extensive knowledge of maintenance supplies, tools and procedures
Willingness to learn and work in a diverse field
Responsibilities:
Utilize an automated facility management system to retrieve/schedule work orders and enter completed work orders
Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned
Work within expenses and time limits established
Work safely in accordance with all Church, State, and Federal safety standards
Perform routine PM to include AHU filter changes, grease equipment, change belts, etc.
Perform minor repairs to MEP systems including faucet cartridge changes, lamp replacement, and various repairs as needed.
Perform basic building upgrades to include retrofitting light fixtures to LED / swapping out lighting, painting, and minor carpentry.
Maintain and repair plumbing and fixtures in operable and proper condition
Maintain and repair all doors, windows, wall coverings, recreational equipment, office furniture and equipment, etc.
Maintain and repair electrical systems
Check and maintain boiler chemical treatment levels - will be trained
Record and maintain in logbooks and eSpace database appropriate data, maintenance timing, status and follow through
Requirements:
Must have basic understanding, working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
Must be able to lift 40 lb bags of salt for water softener.
Refrigeration certificate is a plus.
IT, data cabling knowledge is a plus.
Basic computer skills helpful to find replacement parts, communicate via email, and look at the building use schedule when determining when and where certain repairs can be made.
Your primary responsibilities would be to work closely with the Church Administrator and tend to emergency situations, repairs and perform basic building repairs. We bring in contractors for the big stuff.
Five years of maintenance experience preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday - First Shift
Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
