Video About the Community of the Cross of Nails

In late 2021, the Community of the Cross of Nails (CCN), one of Pullen’s international partners, was awarded some funds by the Catholic Academy of Bavaria, Germany. After discussion, a decision was made to use the funds to produce some resources that would help explain the CCN and its role and impact, both currently and into the future.

The organizers at Coventry Cathedral selected several very different partners—from both the CCN and Together for Hope (the “sister network” of other or no faiths)—to record and submit a short video segment of around 3–5 minutes. The individual segments then were professionally edited into an introductory film about the CCN, showing its breadth both geographically and by different type of organization, and why the network matters going into the next 80 years.

The completed video, which runs just under 30 minutes, was posted to the CCN website in April 2023. Each partner’s mini-film tells a little about them and their role, the wider context within which they work, why they joined the CCN, why being part of the CCN makes a difference, and where it might lead in the future. The partners represent Germany, Austria, South Africa, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

With Pullen having just observed CCN Sunday on September 24, we thought you might like the opportunity to see and hear more about what this network is and does.
