Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) Event: Reclaim Our Vote: August 25 at 9:30 am in Finlator Hall

“It is a Christian obligation to vote, and more than that, it is the church’s responsibility to help get souls to the polls," said Michael Curry, Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in the U.S. Pullen’s Earth Ministry team is hosting another GOTV postcarding event. We will use postcards from Center for Common Ground / Reclaim Our Vote, a nonpartisan organization focused on reaching out to infrequent voters of color in voter suppression states. Our assignment is to write postcards to voters in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. Through this effort, we will provide voters with important voting information, encourage early voting in the North Carolina general election, and emphasize the power of voting to affect important issues in their community.

Postcarding is easy. Before we start, you will have a short training session and receive a script and format to follow for each postcard. We plan to complete 300 postcards in this session, so we need your help. Join us in this very important effort!
