Bible Basics

This is the ideal course for anyone seeking a solid introduction to the Bible or who has lingering questions about it. The Bible is the central document of our faith, but few know it very well. The course will address questions like: Where did the Bible come from and who decided what’s in it? What translation should I be using? How factual is the Bible - is it all just myths and stories? What are the major themes of the Bible and what’s essential to know for a faith-filled life? How do I speak positively about the Bible in the face of literalism on the one hand and dismissiveness on the other? This course will be led by Pullen member Rev. Dr. Nick Carter, an ordained ABC minister and President Emeritus of Andover Newton Theological School.
