The Table

At The Table we connect over a meal, and through engaging topics about faith, justice, and the human experience. Dinner is served from 5:30 – 6:15 pm. We share announcements, celebrate milestones and pray together before engaging the topic for the evening. Dinner is $7 for youth and adults, and $4 for children, with a $24 maximum per family. Check out our topics for November and make plans to join us!

November 16 - Beyond Acknowledgement

Land Acknowledgements, naming the Native American tribes that first occupied the land, have become a more prominent practice at the beginning of all kinds of liberal leaning events. Cheryl Toothe will talk about some of the implications of these kinds of acknowledgements, as well as the tension around First Nations having last priority in policy and official recognition. Cheryl Toothe is a minister and the Native American Missioner for the SC Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Her heritage is Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indian. Cheryl will join us via Zoom. If you would also like to connect via Zoom, please register here.
