The Table

The Table

At The Table we connect over a meal, and through engaging topics about faith, justice, and the human experience. Dinner is served from 5:30 – 6:15 pm. We share announcements, celebrate milestones and pray together before engaging the topic for the evening.

Dinner is $7 for youth and adults, and $4 for children, with a $24 maximum per family (vegetarian options available).

Kids and Teen programming as well as childcare for preschoolers is available. Check out our topics at pullen.org/thetable and make plans to join us!

May 10:

For the second gathering in our Worship Lab series, we will join Rev. Ian in the chapel after dinner for a worship experience in the Civic Saturday tradition. Civic Saturdays are part of a national movement that began in Seattle in the aftermath of the 2016 election. An effort to heal our fractured civic culture, Civic Saturdays are an analogue to a faith gathering where participants connect around the values and practices of being an active citizen. Much like a worship experience, we will share music, poetry, and readings of "civic scripture” together. As a Civic Saturday Fellow, Rev. Ian will deliver a "civic sermon" and facilitate group conversation about the hopes and the horrors of the American experiment. Given the complexity of our nation’s past—and present—can we realize our dream of true multiracial democracy? What values inspire our striving toward a more perfect union? What (re)commitments must we make to this vision and to one another? Let’s gather, reflect, and nurture a spirit of shared purpose together.
