Our Whole Lives (OWL): Sexuality Education for K-1: Parent/Guardians & Child Orientation Meeting: September 6 at 5:30 pm in Finlator Hall
"Whooo's" looking for ways to help your five to seven-year-olds with the lifelong process of acquiring information about identity and relationships? "Whooo" wants to help your kids form attitudes and values that will help keep them safe and healthy? "Whooo's" hoping for guidance in these endeavors? "Whooo" wants trained, background-checked, and respected adults who understand and value children to offer that guidance? If you thought, "Hoot! I do!" then Pullen Memorial Baptist Church has just what you need! This fall, we are offering an "Our Whole Lives (OWL): Sexuality Education for K-1" class for kindergarten and first grade. It is an eight-week curriculum, grounded in child development theory and practice. It is built upon the belief that parents and caregivers have the primary responsibility for their children's sexuality education through open and honest communication. Our OWL leaders are here to help! OWL will begin in late August, kicking off with a required orientation meeting for children and parents/caregivers. Classes for children will include two Saturday morning sessions and four Sunday morning sessions. For more information, contact Pullen's Minister with Children and Their Families at tcook@pullen.org. Space is limited- please sign up here.
