The Table: 5:30 pm in Finlator Hall

Join us at The Table!  Our Wednesday evening begins with dinner from 5:30-6:15 pm and continues with community celebrations, announcements, and prayer before we move into our programming for the evening at 6:30 pm. We also offer activities for children and youth.  Dinner is $4 for children (grades K-5), and $8 for youth (grades 6-12) and adults, with a $24 cap per family. 

September 11 -- The Shadow Side of Debutante Culture

Mary Moore and Lisa Grabarek will discuss the podcast, “Recovering Debs,” which examines exclusive and often secretive debutante culture in North Carolina. In the podcast, Lisa describes her resistance to assuming the debutante role and the major conflict it caused, internally and in her family. She and Mary will discuss the strength of “old boy networks,” and how deb culture relates to social capital and economic mobility in our state.
