Liberal Christianity often shies away from Jesus talk, choosing instead to focus on a social gospel of justice and love. Yet, at the very definitional center of Christian history, theology, and faith is Jesus the Christ. How can we integrate both the social gospel Jesus and Jesus the Christ as we seek to deepen our relationship with him? This month-long class will invite participants to ask who Jesus was and is, what it means to follow Jesus, and how that informs our lives.
