The Pullen Memorial Baptist Church Scholarship(s) will be offered again for the 2024 academic year. This Scholarship is need-based and is for seniors in high school who have been accepted to a college and for current college or graduate students.

Each scholarship will be up to $750, depending on availability of funds and number of applicants. The application deadline (which can be found at pullen.org/scholarship) is July 15th.

Policy Statement

Pullen Memorial Baptist Church has an endowed scholarship. Interest from this endowment will be used to award need-based scholarships on an annual basis, as funds are available.

General Information

Applications are due online or in the church office by July 15, 2024. This is a firm deadline.

Applicants must have a meaningful relationship with Pullen Memorial Baptist Church or, if already a college student should have been active before entering college.

Applications will be accepted for students undertaking post-high school coursework toward a degree or certificate.

Applicants may apply for the scholarship at the same time they are applying for entry into an accredited institution/program. Scholarships will not be funded until the recipient is formally accepted by the institution/program.

The selection of the scholarship recipient(s) is the decision of the GEMS Committee. The Committee may request a personal interview with an applicant.

Applicant information will be kept confidential.

The names of all scholarship recipients will be announced to the Pullen congregation.

Scholarships will be awarded based on the availability of funds and can range up to $750.

Applicants will be notified of a decision by August 1, 2024.

Scholarship recipients may reapply.
